Ara (Bihar): A phone call stating that bombs were planted at the offices of Bhojpur District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police in the collectorate premises turned out to be a hoax. An anonymous caller rang up the Ara town police station claiming bombs had been planted at the offices of the two top district functionaries. Contingents from several police stations were rushed to the collectorate, which was cordoned off, and a search operation was launched with the help of metal and explosive detectors for about a couple of hours.
