NEW DELHI: An alleged criminal carrying a reward of Rs.25,000 has been arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police. A pistol and four live cartridges were purportedly seized from him.
Tip-off
The Special Operation Squad of the Crime Branch received a tip-off that Rajesh, who was wanted in several cases of murder and extortion in Haryana, would come to Millennium Park at Sarai Kale Khan to meet someone. A trap was laid and he was arrested.
According to the police, Rajesh was arrested along with his accomplices in 1999.
He along with Sube Gujjar and others had killed Sudesh in neighbouring Gurgaon in 2006, the police said.
In June 2007, he and Harbir allegedly opened fire outside an office in Gurgaon in an extortion bid. The police said the accused was involved in several such cases.
