Opposition more worried about alliances than people’s issues: Congress

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Congress has said the opposition parties were worried more about forging an alliance among themselves to unseat the Congress party in the next elections rather than taking up people’s issues.

At a press conference here on Thursday, APCC spokespersons B. Kamalakar Rao and K. Mrutyunjayam ridiculed the opposition parties for desperately trying to find ways and means to defeat the Congress party, which had sincerely attempted to fulfil the promises made to the electorate in the last elections. “Unable to take on the Congress, these parties including new ones are planning to join hands and put on a strong fight,” Mr. Mrutyunjayam said. He pointed out that the other parties had failed miserably to raise public issues.
