BANGALORE: The Confederation of Indian Industry-Institute of Quality (CII-IQ) will release its excellence model for education at the National Summit on Quality Education here on September 26 and 27. The two-day seminar with concurrent sessions on school and higher education will be held at the Convention Centre in the National Institute of Medical Health and Neuro Sciences . Designed by the CII-IQ educational team, in partnership with various institutions across the country, it is based on various education excellence models such as the Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award and the European Foundation Quality Management . The model recognises that there are many approaches to achieving sustainable excellence all of which are based on the premise that results are achieved through leadership driving policy and strategy, staff or resource management and partnership, a press release said. CII-IQ will support interested educational institutions through continuous training and assessments. This annual summit has “Quality leadership for future campuses” as its theme. Discussion and talks will emphasise the need for institutional leadership to look around for practices to serve their key stakeholders viz students, educators, parents, industry and society as a whole. R. Natarajan, former chairman of the All-India Council of Technical Education and Andrew Thomson, former Minister of Learning, Government of Saskatchewan, Canada, will speak at the occasion. The summit is structured to cater to the needs of both school education and higher education . It will provide a platform for learning and networking among institutions.
