Woman official arrested

KRISHNAGIRI: A woman state government official has been arrested by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-corruption wing from Krishnagiri on Friday.

Indirani, Rural Development Officer under the Social Welfare Department working in Mathhur Block Development Office in Pochampalli taluk was arrested by the DVAC team lead by Krishnagiri DSP, Ramachandran, while receiving Rs. 1,000 as bribe from Rangasamy for providing loan to his daughter under the Muvalur Ramamirdham Thirumana Nidhi Scheme.

On the basis of his complaint DVAC officials laid a trap and arrested her.
