Law varsity V-C honoured

VISAKHAPATNAM: Advocates of the city felicitated Y. Satyanarayana, who was appointed Vice-Chancellor of State Law University being established in the city, here on Friday.

President of Visakhapatnam Bar Association B.V.R. Murthy, senior advocates J. Prudhviraj, N.V. Badarinath, former president of Bar Association Sistla Srinivasa Murthy and others honoured Prof. Satyanarayana.

Hospitals included in the Arogya Sri network have formed into an association called the Arogya Sri Network Hospitals Association of North Andhra (ANNA) at a workshop conducted for the hospitals here a few days ago. CEO of Arogya Sri Trust A. Babu assured the members that the pending bills would be cleared soon. K.V.S.S. Geethanand is the president of ANNA while B. Tata Rao and S. Sridhar are vice-president and secretary respectively while V. Muralikrishna and Varma Vegesna are advisors to the ANNA.

Konathala’s directive

Minister for Commercial Taxes Konathala Ramakrishna directed officials to concentrate on Rajiv Udyogasri.

At a review meet here on Friday, he reviewed the implementation of Special Economic Zones 1 and 2, land acquisition problem at Makavarapalem, Rambilli SEZ, Rajiv Udyogasri and Raji Arogyasri schemes.

Yelamanchili MLA Kanna Babu, District Collector Sanjay Kumar, VUDA Vice Chairman and others attended.

Trains restored

The Railways have restored two trains ending their cancellation. Train no.5930 Dibrugarh-Chennai express leaving Dibrugarh on/from September 28 and is scheduled to arrive at Visakhapatnam on October 1.

Train no.5929 Chennai-Dibrugarh Express leaving Chennai on/from October 2, is scheduled for arrival at Visakhapatnam on October 3.

Train no.2863 Howrah-Yeswantpur super fast express leaving Howrah on/from September 27 will be restored and is scheduled to arrive here the next day. Train no.2864 Yeswantpur-Howrah Super Fast Express has been restored with immediate effect.
