The state of the art equipment includes, the latest fully digitized flat panel cathlab, two ultra modern echo machines with 3d and 4d capability, 2 tmt machines, holter monitoring and electrophysiology equipment to support cardiology services. For cardiothoracic surgery, we have latest heart-lung machines, iabp machines and most modern anesthesia and monitoring equipment.

Star has 4 very advanced dialysis machines which has the capacity to dialyze patients low blood pressures. The neurology department is supported by eeg, enmg and high speed ct scan. Our lab is equipped with fully automated machines which can give reports with in 3 hours. The cardiac surgery team led by dr.gopi chand, at star has vast experience with over 10,000 open heart surgeries of which over 3000 were on new born and children. They also did the first beating heart surgery in the state, first to do open heart surgery through minimal access (keyhole) in the country, has done 2nd Heart Transplant in the state.

Dr.Gopi Chand started a Charity Foundation called Hrudaya, in 2004, which offers free surgeries to children with birth defects of the Heart. So far, Hrudaya has helped over 300 children to avail treatment. At Star, we hope to do at least one surgery a day through charity, for children. Dr.Ramesh, an eminent cardiologist along with his collegues has done over 10,000 coronary procedure through Radial Artery, largest in the country. The cardiology team is vastly experienced in treating all aspects of cardiac disease.
