Man fatally knocked down

NAMAKKAL: A man was fatally knocked down by a car at Velagoundampatti police limits on Friday.

Police said the deceased was identified as Raman (45), a farmer in Moolapalayam village.

He was on the way to Manickampalayam, when the accident took place. He died on the spot.

The car also hit Kanniyammal (45). She sustained serious injuries and was

admitted to Namakkal Government Hospital.

A case was registered.
