Ugrappa sees bid to hush up probe into attacks

BANGALORE: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council V.S. Ugrappa has stated that the State Government has made a “tactical move” to hush up investigation on attacks on churches.

He said the o terms of reference in the notification to the appointment of judicial officer to conduct the investigation were “ kept vague”. Mr. Ugrappa told presspersons here on Saturday that the notification had not mentioned any names. He said similar tactics were used when the Nanavati Commission was formed in Gujarat.
