‘Cluster college concept’ promoted

TIRUCHI: Bharathidasan University has decided to promote a cluster approach among colleges affiliated to it. The programme aims at promoting a set of clusters in each revenue district for sharing the infrastructure.
Colleges in each cluster would be able to make optimum utilisation of available resources within their periphery, said M. Ponnavaikko, Vice-Chancellor.
Presiding over a meeting of the Standing Committee on Academic Affairs on Saturday, the Vice-Chancellor said that the university had nominated co-ordinators for promoting the concept among affiliated colleges in the central districts.
Registrar Ramasamy and Controller of Examinations K. Raja were present at the meeting.
