Timeless masterpieces

In a different time-zone: The Gallery of Exquisite Renaissance Grandfather clocks in Bangalore. It is exhibiting 30 varieties of grandfather clocks which are inspired by the old models, but use modern material. The clocks are six to eight feet tall with designs carved on the hood or bonnet. The biggest among them, called “Almighty”, is over nine feet tall. Its pendulum is plated in 22 carat gold. The exhibition at K.K. Complex, near Lalbagh Main Gate, will be on till October 8. —
