Centre grants 23 cr for fort town development

Of the amount Rs.13cr has been earmarked for Kondakarakam
VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Housing Botcha Satyanarayana said that the Centre sanctioned a sum of Rs. 23crores under IHSDP for the development of the town. Of the amount Rs.13crores was earmarked for Kondakarakam and Rs. 10 crores for Thotapalem . He was speaking at a review meeting with officials of Roads and Buildings and municipality at Ramalayam in Thotapalem on Sunday.
The Minister instructed R & B officials to complete the survey and lay a road from RTC complex to Pradeep Nagar via Thotapalem at a cost of Rs.2crores.
Earlier, the minister inspected the site allotted for district Congress committee office, drainage system and also the progress on Indiramma houses at Thotapalem. He assured the housing beneficiaries of releasing bridge loan of Rs. 30,000 from banks. K. Veerabhadra Swamy, MLA, A. Suri Babu, Municipal Chairperson, S.S. Verma, Commissioner and others were present.
