THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State spokesman M.S. Kumar has asked the government to seek the assistance of Central security forces at Sabarimala during the upcoming pilgrim season . At a press conference here on Sunday, he said the Central Intelligence had asked the government to be on the alert against attacks on soft targets such as Sabarimala, where tens of lakhs of pilgrims congregated during the season. Other major shrines such as the Sree Krishna temple at Guruvayur and the Padmanabha Swamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram too should be brought under the security net of Central forces. Mr. Kumar said the BJP had serious doubts about the capability of the Kerala Police to gather intelligence and act against the extremist elements. Information was now available that the people who had executed the recent bomb attacks in Delhi and elsewhere had done their plotting and training in places such as Wagamon and Aluva , he said.
