CHANDIGARH: AS many as 694 cases were settled out of 1273 cases which were taken up by the rural Lok Adalats, held in various districts of Haryana State. Member Secretary of Haryana State Legal Services Authority said on Sunday that two cases of MACT pertaining to death or injury arising out of vehicular accidents were also solved. He said that an amount of Rs 3,50,000 was awarded as compensation to the accident victims and in case of death to the kin. He said that 692 cases of other categories pertaining to civil, criminal, summary and negotiable mutation were also settled through these rural Lok Adalats. He said that these Lok Adalats were held on Sunday at Tigaon in Faridbad district and Manesar in Gurgaon district among others. - PTI
