Ex gratia handed over to boy’s parents

MACHILIPATNAM: Krishna district Collector Shailaja Ramaiyer on Sunday handed over an ex gratia of Rs. 1 lakh to the parents of six-year-old G. Lakhmi Narayana, the boy who died on his way to hospital in Vijayawada on Saturday as the vehicular traffic was stopped due to the visit of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

The Collector, along with MLA Perni Venkatramaiah and Municipal Chairman Sheik Silar Dada, visited the boy’s house and presented the cheque to the boy’s parents Venkata Padma and Srinivasa Rao.
