Search on for two managers

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Tilak Nagar police are searching for Teja and Suchin, senior managers of Nokia, in connection with Thursday’s suicide of software engineer Soni (26).

“We have been looking for Teja and Suchin since Friday. We assume they have gone to their native place. As it was a weekend, we could not get any information about the two. We are sending a team to the Nokia office on Monday to continue our investigation,” a senior police official told The Hindu.

“We spoke to Soni’s colleagues and our preliminary investigation confirms that she was harassed by the managers,” he added. Soni, a native of Mysore, had hanged herself after leaving four letters, all of which reportedly stated that she had faced exploitation and harassment at office. Based on these letters, the Tilak Nagar police registered a case against Teja and Suchin on charges of abetting her suicide.
