One more held in land grabbing case

ERODE: Crime Branch CID police have arrested one more person in the Perundurai land grab and kidnap case.

According to CB CID sources, Karunakaran, a Perundurai-based document writer, was arrested for allegedly obtaining under coercion, the thumb impressions of landowner P.C. Palanisamy and family members.

The sources said they were looking for 20 more persons, including a sub-registrar.

With today’s arrest, the number of persons held has risen to five.
