CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Friday directed the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, to complete the case against Dinesh Dalmia of Chennai as expeditiously as possible, more particularly within six months from the date of framing of charges.

Denying bail to Mr. Dalmia against whom and three others the CBI had filed a charge sheet on a complaint lodged by the Securities Exchange Board of India, Justice K.N. Basha said the court was constrained to direct the Additional CMM to proceed with the matter on a day-to-day basis, giving preference to the case, considering the gravity of the offence alleged against Mr. Dalmia and the other accused.
