Chetan wins Czech title

HYDERABAD: National champion Chetan Anand won the Czech Republic Challenge badminton championship defeating Carl Taxter 21-13, 21-14 in the final on Sunday, according to information received here.

This was Chetan Anand’s seventh final of the year, winning titles in Nepal, Kenya, Spain and Czech Republic. He lost in the finals of the India, Belgium and Vietnam Opens.

In the semifinals, Anand defeated R. Yousuf of England 20-22, 22-20, 21-19.
