Demonstration of agricultural implements

Tuticorin: Demonstration of modern agricultural implements was conducted at farmers fields by the Agricultural Engineering Department here. Reversible plough and Sub soiler were demonstrated to the farmers of Sekkarakudi and Kombukaranatham. The importance of using the improved ploughs was explained to the farmers by G. Amuthan, Assistant Executive Engineer (Agriculture Engineering), Tuticorin.

He told the farmers that these ploughs would result in good soil condition, improve soil moisture conservation, soil aeration and ultimately the crop yield.

Assistant engineer G. Murugan, and Junior Engineers S. Shanmugam and L. Chidambaram were present.
