PR core committee meet ends in chaos

VIZIANAGARAM: The meeting called by the core committee of Praja Rajyam party to finalise the route map of the party’s founder Chiranjeevi in the district ended in a chaos with the groups owing allegiance to two leaders coming to near blows at a hotel on Monday. It subsided with the intervention of police. The actor-turned-politician is likely to tour the district any time after October 5. Party’s core committee member T. Vijay and convenor of the north Andhra coastal districts G. Ajay convened the meeting at S.V.N. Lake Palace this morning. When the meeting began in the absence of Gurana Ayyalu, former general secretary of the district Youth Congress, who joined the party some time ago, a group supporting him took objection to starting the meeting by Chandaka Ramadasu and Gottapu Chinnam Naidu, leaders of the district Chiranjeevi Fans’ Association. The war of words between groups peaked to pushing and jostling each other.
