“Revoke approval”

Staff Reporter

TIRUCHI: The urban district unit of the Communist Party of India has urged the City Corporation to revoke the approval for those plumbers who charge amounts without any authorisation for linking sewerage pipelines from households to the underground drainage system.

At its recent meeting, the party adopted a resolution charging a section of plumbers with charging amounts ranging from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 3,000 over and above the estimate fee, according to K. Suresh, Secretary of the urban district unit.

The party also decided to observe a fast in Tiruchi on October 2, 2008.
