Kona Guravaiah Yadav undertaking fast in front of District Collector’s office in Guntur seeking Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s entry into active politics. GUNTUR: If you thought only film stars had ardent fan followers, you are mistaken. A businessman from Guntur Kona Guravaiah Yadav, who got attracted to politics only because of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s son Y.S. Jagan, does not aspire for any post in the party or does not want to fight any election on Congress ticket, but was his idol Jagan to come into active politics immediately. How does he accomplish that wish? He has chosen the ‘satyagraha’ mode to make his political idol to agree to his wishes of joining active politics forthwith and has taken up indefinite fast opposite District Collector’s office here. When he pitched tent on the pavement on Monday, little did Congressmen in the district expect him to do this. Hogging the limelight for his novel method of agitation to put pressure on Mr. Jagan to make a statement at the earliest, people passing that way have been stopping thereto enquire about his health condition. City Congress President Mastan Vali, District Congress Committee president Basavapunnaiah, along with Tadikonda MLA Dokka Manikya Prasada Rao paid a visit to the tent and expressed their solidarity with him. “I know that Mr. Jagan will contest from Kadapa Parliamentary seat in the coming elections, but he is not making it public, which is causing a lot of anxiety to his followers,” Guruvaiah Yadava told . Once State secretary of Y.S. Jagan Yuva Sena, he is the District Youth Congress general secretary, said that he had resorted to this satyagraha only to attract the attention of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy and Mr Jagan.
