Impressive start: Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University B. Satyanarayana going around the stalls after inaugurating The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. — VISAKHAPATNAM: The glittering mega-shopping carnival, ‘The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show’ got off to a sparkling start with a good number of visitors pouring in from Thursday morning at AU Engineering Grounds. Vice-Chancellor, Andhra University, Beela Satyanarayana inaugurated the show by cutting the ribbon and lighting the traditional lamp. He congratulated the organisers for conducting such an event on a large-scale. He said that such exhibitions provided an excellent platform for manufacturers to showcase their products. These events would also help the promotion of trade and encourage entrepreneurship among the youth, he added. The show is a one-stop shop for every kind of consumer need and offers a heady mix of fashion, food, home and kitchen requirements, automobile, latest electronic gadgets, jewellery, real estate and a host of interesting categories. Even before the inauguration of the show, the two air-conditioned hangers were packed with the non-stop flow of visitors. Going by the number of stalls and the mind-boggling range of items on display plus the sumptuous food court, the show is certainly worth the effort. Check out the mind-boggling glittering range of electronic gadgets, home furnishings and swanky cars in the automobile section. HighlightAn elaborate, artfully decked up pavilion of Samsung, who are the presenting sponsors of the show, is the first to catch the attention. The collections include mammoth double door refrigerators, sleek televisions and LCDs, washing machines, air-conditioners, etc. Check for these and more such stuff in Hall 2. This is the hall where big brands like Chevrolet, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, and Tata Motors vie with each other for the visitors’ attention. Arrangements are made for ample parking space. The elaborate food court is sponsored by Fusion Foods. The event is supported by co-sponsors HP, Compaq, Sun DTH Services, AgriGold and Jayaraj International Pvt. Ltd.
