Camaraderie: NTPP leader T. Devender Goud, CPI State secretary K. Narayana and Konda Lakshman Bapuji, a veteran of Telangana movement, staging a dharna in Hyderabad on Thursday. HYDERABAD: A day-long ‘satyagraha’ organised by the Nava Telangana Praja Party (NTPP) saw speakers underscoring the message that only a united struggle cutting across political barriers could result in a separate Telangana by the year 2009. NTPP president T. Devender Goud commenced the struggle before Indira Park on Thursday morning and throughout the day senior leaders from other political parties visited the camp and expressed their solidarity. Addressing the gathering Mr. Goud said the need for united action became all the more imminent considering that anti-Telangana forces were trying to confuse people. He asked them to be aware of the truth and be wary of falling under ‘myths’ created by such forces. Among those who participated in the dharna were film actor Vijayshanthi, CPI State secretary K. Narayana, former TRS MLC Dileep Kumar, Telangana activist Sridhar Reddy, veteran freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji, balladeer Gaddar and other intellectuals, including human rights activist S. Haragopal.
