TDP stages rasta roko against ‘corruption’

VIZIANAGARAM: TDP Polit Bureau Member P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju has said that corruption reached unprecedented levels during the Congress’ four and half years rule.

He was add’ressing party workers who as per the call given by the State committee organised rasta-roko against corruption at Clock Tower here on Thursday.

He said that as a responsible opposition party it would not shy away from fighting with the government against corruption. Criticising the government for shielding its leaders, he said that it registered cases against him and other leaders when they staged protests against price rise and at the same time turned a blind eye towards its local MLA who violated rules by travelling unlawfully in a train from Tirupati recently. Yadla Ramana Murty, party district president, spoke. .
