Kandhamal assault

The recent attacks on Christians, following the murder of Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswathi, raise many questions.

1. What is the use of a heavily spent intelligence wing across the country, when it always failed to send an advance report of such organised crime and act of violence, which can be accomplished after careful calibration and preparation in advance?

2. What is the role of the police personnel, who witnessed both inhuman acts as mere spectators?

3. To make the news sensational and saleable, both events were not covered in the media in a balanced way.

Desh Deepak,

Kudos to The Hindu for its non-partisan coverage of the Kandhamal violence. The Bajrang Dal is making its presence felt in different States as elections are approaching. Every law abiding citizen should condemn such lawlessness.
