Fracas at lodge: one killed
Staff Reporter
Thiruvananthapuram: A 68-year-old ex-army man was killed in a fight with the inmate of a neighbouring room at a Hindu-Mission run lodge near the Secretariat on Thursday.
The police identified the deceased as Raveendran, a resident of Iruppa, near Aruvikkara. They said Raveendran had been living in the room with his son Rahul, 25, for the past 10 years. The police have named Kuttan, 70, another lodge dweller, as the murder suspect. They said Raveendran was killed when he fought with Kuttan over drawing water from a water pipe on the lodge precincts.
