ADILABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) on Friday demanded the government to issue notification to fill up teacher posts through District Selection Committees (DSC) as there is a likelihood of election code coming into force. The party said there was need for filling up the nearly 60,000 teacher posts so as to provide employment to unemployed trained teachers. At a press conference here Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao criticised the government for delaying recruitment of teachers since four years. “The Congress manifesto had promised to create employment for two lakh people. However, neither N. Rajyakshmi nor Damodar C. Rajanarsaiah, former and present Education Minister could do anything to issue DSC notification. They just issued periodical notification, he added. Regarding alliance of TRS with other parties, Mr. Harish Rao said a clear picture could emerge only by December. He informed that the bus yatra to be undertaken by party president K. Chandrashekhara Rao will start from Jodeghat in Kerameri mandal of Adilabad and end at the place where Sammakka Sarakka jatara is held.
