‘TDP not against Telangana’

ELURU: TDP politbureau member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Friday said the party top brass had not thought of forging tie-ups with the other parties yet.
Mr. Ramakrishnudu said this at a press conference here in an oblique reference to the media reports in favour of the TDP moving close to the TRS. He said that the TDP had been slowly softening its stand vis-a-vis the issue of separate Telangana . The party wanted to send a strong message that it would not be a hindrance to the accordance of separate statehood for Telangana by the UPA Government at the Centre. The Core Committee, which elicited views from the party cadres and the leaders on the issue of separate Telangana, would submit its report to party president N Chandrababu Naidu, enabling him to make a policy statement shortly.
