CHIDAMBARAM: Madurai Kamaraj blanked Kerala 4-0 and entered the quarterfinals of the South Zone inter-university hockey tournament at Annamalai University here on Friday.

The results:

Pre-quarterfinals: Madurai Kamaraj 4 (Solaiarasu 2, Sathyaraj 1, Ashok Kumar 1) bt Kerala 0; SRM 2 (Ayyappan, Sivamani) bt VTU 1 (Subbiah); Mangalore 2 (Naresh Babu, Babu Beer) bt Sri Venkateswara 0; Tiruvalluvar bt Osmania 4-2 (via tie-breaker).
