Irshad five for 32) v North 149 in 39.3 overs (Velgin Baby 33) & 34 for two in 10 overs. Batting first, VPS set a challenging target of 221 for SMV. The Thiruvananthapuram side suffered a collapse and was staring at defeat when a rollicking 100-run eighth-wicket stand between Krishnaraj and Lopez George brought them close to victory.
