President arriving on October 11

BANGALORE: President Pratibha Patil will visit Bangalore on October 11.

Ms. Patil will be present at the passing-out parade of Guwahati and Bangalore regiments of the Indian Air Force at Yelahanka on October 12. The President will land at Yelahanka Air Force base by a special aircraft on the evening of October 11 and will stay at Raj Bhavan. She will present colours to the two regiments, Deputy Commissioner of Police (VVIP Security), V. Thimmappa, said.

A high-level meeting was held at Jalahalli on Friday for making arrangements for the President’s visit. Ms. Patil will leave the city at 12.15 p.m. on October 12.
