Infrastructure needed

There is no denying the fact that quality infrastructure is a sine qua non for attracting tourists. Repair of pot-holed roads needs to be taken up on a warfooting. Greening either side of the roads and in traffic junctions, wherever possible should be taken up in the right earnest. Experienced NGOs could be entrusted with the task of planting and nurturing greenery, in select stretches. The other area of concern in Kochi is the accumulation of household and plastic wastes most often than not spilling on to the roads.

Sufficient number of large waste bins should be installed in the right areas and clearance of these should be done regularly.

Existing parks should be spruced up and maintenance improved. The bottomline should be to make the tourists visiting Kochi an experience worth cherishing.

Develop Kochi

Kochi, the Queen of Arabian sea is blessed by nature with many cultures from around the world.

The Kochi Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is being developed as a hub of South Asia and a master plan would be implemented in four phases.

We have vital issues to be tackled for ensuring the proper and peaceful life of the people of Kochi, such as eradication of the deep rooted menaces — mosquitoes, water-logging, improper drainage and garbage heaps.

Each one of us has a great responsibility in contributing our bit for making this metro green and beautiful.
