Elected vice-president of ZP

DAVANGERE: Halamma of the Congress was elected unopposed as vice-president of the Davangere Zilla Panchayat here on Saturday. She represents the Kakkaragolla zilla panchayat constituency.

The Congress has a clear majority in the panchayat with 23 of the 34 seats.
