CPI (M) stages dharna

SANGAREDDY: Opposing the visit of US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, the members of the CPI (M) here on Saturday staged dharna and burnt the effigy before the Collectorate.

Addressing the gathering, CPI (M) State Secretariat member S. Veeraiah said the UPA government signed the agreement with America ignoring the apprehensions of the people.

CPI (M) district secretary Chukka Ramulu said the government signed the agreement at the cost of India’s sovereignty. – Staff Reporter
