Man arrested for smuggling heroin

NEW DELHI: A 36-year-old man has been arrested by the Narcotics Branch of the Delhi police for allegedly smuggling heroin. The police claim to have seized 330 gm of heroin from him.

Ashfaq was arrested near the Inter-State Bus Terminal at Anand Vihar in Delhi’s trans-Yamuna area. During interrogation he purportedly disclosed that he had come out of jail after serving a sentence in another case of drug peddling. The police are trying to identify the others involved in the network.
