Basketball players form association

BANGALORE: Senior players of the State announced here on Saturday the formation of Basketball Players Association of Karnataka (BPAK) with the intention of promoting the game from the grassroots level.

Ravi Raju, secretary of the BPAK said that the organisation consists of basketball players of the State, which also includes players who had represented the country at international events.

“It has been a long felt desire of several senior players to come together and actively promote the game through various initiatives. These initiatives include coaching camps for youngsters, school and college tournaments and several other programs to reach deep into rural areas, said Mr. Raju. — Special Correspondent
