Kumble, Dravid and Dhoni train

BANGALORE: Test skipper Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid and M.S. Dhoni trained at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday. They were assisted by the Karnataka probables, who are having a pre-Ranji season camp. The trio of L. Balaji, Pankaj Singh and Yomahesh, who are at the National Cricket Academy, also joined the practice session.

Earlier on Friday, Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh had stayed back after the conclusion of the Indian team’s preparatory camp on Friday.

However, Harbhajan reportedly left for Mumbai on Saturday morning.

The Indian squad for the first Test against Australia here from October 9, will assemble on Monday afternoon while Sourav Ganguly and R.P. Singh, who are playing for India ‘A’ against New Zealand ‘A’ at Chennai, will join later. — Principal Correspondent
