Dharamsala (HP): The Himachal Pradesh Congress on Saturday indicated that veteran party leader and former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would be fielded from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in the coming general elections. The five times Chief Minister of the State is very popular in the area and is the strongest party candidate for the seat, state Congress President Kaul Singh Thakur told reporters, adding the party high command’s decision on selection of candidates for the LS poll will be final. The veteran Congress leader, who is at present MLA from his traditional Rohroo Assembly seat in Shimla district, has in the past shown little interest in contesting the Parliamentary polls.
