Woman ends life

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: A 38-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Gurudutt Layout in Vidyaranyapura police station limits on Friday. The police said Meera Bai’s husband Velu had an accident two years ago and was bedridden. After that, she began to work as a maid. On Friday, she went inside a room and did not come out even after a long time. Velu called neighbours and when the door was opened, Meera Bai was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

Doctors arrested

The Madiwala police arrested four doctors for allegedly causing injury to two persons who had come to the hospital on September 22. The police have arrested Anil Biradar, Amit Biradar, Dayanand R. and G.S. Raghu of Popular Nursing Home at Garvebhavipalya.

The accused had a fight with Radhakrishna and Nagaraj over treatment to a child. Radhakrishna and Nagaraj were attacked with scissors, the police said.
