Call for CBI probe

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Expressing concern that reports of violent attacks against Christians continued to pour in from Orissa, the CPI(M) expressed dismay that authorities in the State had taken cognizance of serious cases of violence such as the rape of a nun and the public parading of victims in the naked, perpetrated six weeks ago only after they were exposed by the media.

The Polit Bureau of the party demanded that all serious cases of attack be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
