PARKAL (WARANGAL DT.): BJP senior leader Yashwant Sinha said that his party was committed to carve a separate Telangana state after it coming to power at the Centre.

“The NDA alone is capable and committed for separate statehood to the region to fulfil the long cherished dream of people of the region,” he added.

Addressing a public meeting at Parkal here on Sunday at the conclusion of Sankalp Yatra, he accused the Congress party of deceiving Telangana people by postponing a decision on the issue.

Mr. Sinha said that the NDA would include Telangana issue in its agenda for the forthcoming elections and it had already convinced its partners.

Support Advani

Urging the people to support the candidature of L. K. Advani as prime minister, he said the present Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh was unable to act on his own and thus failed to bring pride to the nation at international level.

The former finance minister said that the country’s self-respect was being compromised in many issues, as our Prime Minister was not commanding enough respect on many issues.

True representative

“The NDA gave a strong prime minister in the form of “Atalji” who was a true representative of the people of the country and had earned great respect, Mr. Sinha said.

Interestingly, Mr. Sinha concluded his speech at the public meeting with a Jai Telangana slogan.

BJP senior leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, Bangaru Laxman, T Rajeshwar Rao, former MLA M Dharma Rao and several others present.
