ALAPPUZHA: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi said here on Sunday that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government’s proposed Parliament March on October 17 was an effort to cover up its failure on various fronts, including non-implementation of Centrally-sponsored schemes. Earlier, inaugurating a cash award distribution function of the Holy Angel Charitable Trust at Arattuvazhi here, Mr. Ravi said he had submitted a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking an amendment to Article 355 of the Constitution, under which the Centre could take control of only those districts in Orissa from where violence against Christians had been reported.
