HYDERABAD: The sparkle in their eyes captured the moment. The 63 poor youngsters from villages of Mahbubnagar district had joy writ large on their faces upon receiving certificates after successfully completing their training at Arya Samaj. The certificate was a testimony to the skills they have acquired over the past three months at Arya Pratinidhi Sabha in Kundanbagh. While 24 boys were placed in a private construction firm after being trained in bar-bending, 39 girls learnt curtain making, sewing and software programmes such as MS-Office, Internet basics, Photoshop and Corel Draw. All the girls were given sewing machines and the boys, a cash incentive of Rs.3, 000. Director of Rajiv Udyogasri scheme Dhananjaya Reddy, Additional Director General of National Academy of Construction K.A.N. Prasad and Director of Institute of Architecture and Design (NAC) Ksheersagar Reddy gave away the certificates and prizes. While appreciating the Arya Samaj management, authorities requested them to set up more such training centres at all mandals. Mr. Dhananjaya Reddy promised them funding on behalf of the Government. Students were also asked to spread awareness about the programme.
