GULBARGA: Regional Commissioner Rajneesh Goel on Monday warned professional builders and owners of buildings and commercial complexes in Gulbarga city that any violation of building bylaws would not be tolerated and gave them a fortnight’s time to set right the violations. Presiding over a meeting of senior officials and a group of builders and owners of commercial complexes on Monday, Mr. Goel and other senior officials including Additional Regional Commissioner F.R. Jamadhar, Deputy Commissioner K. J. Jagadeesh, Gulbarga Urban Development Authority Commissioner Nagappa Sirasagi and Gulbarga City Corporation Commissioner S. P. Mudhol told the builders that “violations of setback and construction of shops in the area reserved for parking will not be tolerated”. The builders admitted that they had violated building bylaws. Mr. Goel and Mr. Jagadeesh said that builders and owners of commercial complexes should voluntarily demolish illegal structures.
