Bangalore: A 12-year-old boy who was trying to catch fish drowned in a well early on Sunday. The Basaveshwaranagar police gave the name of the victim as Sanjay (12), a sixth standard student and son of Raju, an autorickshaw driver. They said that the incident occurred at Lakshminagar, where the victim lived. The police said that Sanjay had been trying to catch fish when he fell and drowned. The personnel from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot and retrieved the body. Found deadManoj Kumar (26), an employee of an IT major, was found dead in his house on Saturday. The Vijayanagar police said that the incident came to light when relatives of the victim went over to check on him when calls to his cellphone evoked no response. The police said the victim had been smothered to death. Further investigation is on into the incident. Seized The Forest Cell police on Sunday arrested Raju (30) while on his way to Yeshwantpur to sell coral. On a tip-off, the police arrested the accused near Hanumanthnagar 80 Ft Road and seized 25 kg coral from him, worth Rs. 5.3 lakh. During investigation, he told police that he was going to sell the coral to two persons in Yeshwantpur. The police are investigating where he got the coral from. He has been handed over to the Hanumanthnagar police. Killed on the spotA Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus on Sunday hit a stationary lorry at Rajanukunte, Bangalore Rural district. The incident occurred at around 5.30 a.m. K.V. Rama Mohan, rice merchant and native of Gauribidinur, died on the spot, while five persons were injured. The injured have been admitted in a private hospital, the police said. RobbedOn Saturday, three men robbed a man of laptop when he was waiting for a bus near East Railway Gate on Pottery Road. The Fraser Town police said that the three men threatened Sandeep Reddy, the victim, with a knife and took away his laptop. ArrestedThe Kalasipalyam police have arrested four persons who were reportedly planning a dacoity near a bar on N.R. Road in Kalasipalyam on Friday at 11 p.m.
