PCB to have a cricket committee

Karachi: The Pakistan Government has accepted a suggestion by former Test players to appoint a high-powered committee in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to check the country’s cricketing slump.

The suggestion was put forward by former Test captains Wasim Akram, Rameez Raja, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Saeed Anwar and leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed when they met Federal Law Minister, Farooq A. Naek, in Lahore on Sunday.

The former players suggested that the members of the Cricket Committee should have an experience of at least 50 Tests. Naek said the tenure of the Cricket Committee would range from two to three years and it would have five members. — PTI
