Anfal hits unbeaten 151

KOCHI: Captain Anfal hit an unbeaten 151 as North gained the first innings lead over Combined Districts XI in their State under-19 inter-zone cricket championship match which ended in a draw at the BPCL Kochi Refinery Ground here on Sunday.

The scores: South 258 for eight & 262 for six in 60 overs (Jithin 41, Akhil Viswanath 89, Jaison 34) v Central 225 in 50 overs (Rohit Rajaneesh 43, Vishnu 55, M.S. Akhil 55, Sreeraj three for 49, Sooraj three for 40, Likhin three for 38). Match drawn, at St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery.

Combined Districts XI 254 &127 for nine in 39 overs (Nandu G. Prakash 39, Irshad three for 56, Naseef four for 12) v North 351 for eight in 70 overs (Anfal 151 n.o., Shafeeq Hassan 56, M.V.
