Pirated DVDs seized

Tirupur: The police seized 219 pirated VCDs and DVDs of latest English, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam movies here on Monday. S. Riyaz (21), a resident of Velliyankadu, was arrested in this connection.

The police said the youth was taken into the custody while he was attempting to sell the VCDs and DVDs at 60 feet road.

He was remanded to judicial custody under Copy Rights Act.
